Baby wren rescue update. All 5 birds are looking good, even the one who went kayaking with us.

It was a beautiful day to go kayaking yesterday. When I took the top kayak off the rack I discovered a nest of wrens in one of them. I managed to move the nest and five babies into this bin right where the kayak sits. Then mom and dad wrens found them right away and have been feeding them. The kayaks can lean against the house for a while. #birds #birdrescue

When I went to Pratt in the 80s I learned all the traditional ways of art and design. I spent the next 3+ decades keeping up with changes in programs on my Macintosh computers. I was still the creative part of the equation, the rest was just new tools. I did not see a future where I would be the irrelevant part of the process of creating art. I had a great time at the @annapolisbookfestival on Saturday. The author reception on Friday was fun, I got to hang out with friends and spoke to a lot of authors I’ve just met. I gave my presentation on Saturday at noon, signed a few books and even sat for a long talk with my friends @twosides2thestory which may be a future podcast. #bookstagram #authorsofinstagram #kidlit #kidlitart

Now all I need are some students. They’ll be here soon.
